ACE & Armex at 2017 ATRA Powertrain EXPO

The picture above shows the ARMEX exhibit at the 2017 ATRA (Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association) EXPO being setup.  As you can see, ARMEX uses an ACE “Soda Plus” soda blast cabinet to demonstrate their soda blast media at trade shows.

#Sodablasting is a great way for transmission and engine rebuilders to clean parts.  Soda blasting is non-destructive, meaning that it does NOT change any surface or dimensional characteristics of the part.  Unlike glass bead blasting, you do NOT have to worry about possible media retention ruining an engine or transmission, since soda is 100% water and oil soluble.  Just blast, rinse, done…no worries.

ARMEX (Arm & Hammer) trusts using ACE soda blasting equipment to demonstrate their product.  If you are thinking about getting involved in soda blasting, shouldn’t you consider it for your engine or transmission rebuilding operation too?

All of our equipment is made in the USA in our Grand Haven, Michigan factory where have have been building all kinds of abrasive blasting equipment since 1976.  Give us a call at 1-888-772-3263 to talk to one of our technical specialists about how soda blasting can help your engine or transmission rebuilding business become more profitable.  You won’t be sorry!

Diesel Brothers follows Heavy D, Diesel Dave and the team at Dieselsellerz as they build big, bad trucks, pull elaborate pranks and push the limits with new stunts. Diesel Brothers launched during Discovery’s “Motor Mondays” in January and in its first season, the show is pulling more than 2 million viewers per episode and is currently the network’s highest-rated new series in adult 25-54 in more than two years.

Fast N’ Loud is the most watched automotive related TV show in America. Fast N’ Loud follows the exploits of motor mastermind Richard Rawlings and mechanical prodigy, Aaron Kaufmann, who search the far flung corners of Texas and surrounding states for forgotten and derelict classic cars to buy and restore at their Gas Monkey Garage in Dallas, Texas. Fast N’ Loud has over 3 million followers on Facebook.

We installed an ACE 40″ x40″ Soda Blast Cabinet with 400 cfm Dust Collector in both the Gas Monkey Garage (Dallas, TX) and in Dieselsellerz (Woods Cross, UT).  These soda blasting cabinets were chosen to provide a way to clean various engine, transmission, suspension, drive train, and other component parts with the unique properties of the soda blasting processSoda blasting does not harm chrome, glass, seals or bearings, and does not change any surface or dimensional characteristics so critical in truck and automotive applications.  Also, soda blasting eliminates problems associated with media retention in hard to clean areas like threads and oil passages since soda residue simply dissolves in water.  Just ask anyone who has ruined an expensive engine due to a small piece of hidden blast media how important that is!

We also installed an ACE Model 4 Split Top (48″ x 24″) Sandblast Cabinet with 100 cfm Dust Collector in the Gas Monkey Garage for use with other more aggressive medias, like aluminum oxide and glass bead.  All of our Abrasive Blasting and Soda Blasting Cabinets feature all-welded construction using 11 and 14 gauge steel with cross braced legs for a work deck capacity of 2,000 lbs.!  Our equipment is known for its rugged construction, ease of use, simple maintenance, backed by the best customer service in the business.

Safety-Kleen  provides environmental services to both garages and was instrumental in spear heading these projects.  Armex provided the soda blast media for use in both garages.  We would like to extend our sincere thanks for all of their help.  Thank you!

How To Sandblast

soda-blasting-Camaro

We get a lot of inquiries from people who are interested in learning how to sandblast.  With that in mind, we decided to produce an easy to understand beginners guide on the subject.  The term “sandblasting” is a generic term, which originated from the early days of abrasive blasting, when sand was the original type of blasting media commonly used.

While this guide is called “How To Sandblast” it actually encompasses all types of abrasive blasting, such as soda blasting and media blasting.  The guide is not a comprehensive instruction manual.  You can think of it as a beginners overview, sort of like Sandblasting 101.  It is an introduction to give you an idea of what is involved should you decide to explore abrasive blasting for your project, hobby or business.

Should you decide that you would like to learn more about a particular type of abrasive blasting, we encourage you to give us a call at 888-772-3263 or email us at:

info@ace-sandblasting.com

We have technical support people, who have years of experience in different types of projects.  We can help you determine the best way to approach your particular project, or assist you with selecting the best equipment to meet your needs.

We hope that this guide provides you with an easy to understand introduction to abrasive blasting!  Here is a link to the guide:
